Construction Of The Zegapain Altair (Part 1)

After purchasing the Zegapain Altair, it was finally time for me fix it up. So I got my lazy self to actually open up the box and do abit of it before I went to did my other stuffs. Since there will be quite alot of pictures, just click on the thumbnail for a closer look alright?

Not being an experience modeller, I still did it since I wanted to make it with my own hands and feel proud of it. I can’t wait for the other 2 Zegapains though. Ah well… So it went like this…

So first off… I did the body. There’s wasn’t much problems there as it was quite straight-forward.

The body.

Next was to fix the led light and the circuits. This was quite a pain since the parts are real small and I had quite a hard time getting the circuits to connect since it gets out of place sometimes. I even had to rush to a store near my house just to grab batteries. I was suppose to get a 1.5V battery but I got a 1.55V one. Guess there isn’t much a difference? But when I switched it on, it was really bright. I got blinded the moment the looked directly at it.

It’s really small… -.-”

I suppose it doesn;t look too bright from here…

Perhaps this can convince you the brightness. The super bright part at the bottom is the led light.

Alright. Time to put the two of them together! But first, an additional part was added to the bottom which I suppose in future will be connecting the body to the waist.

See the difference now?

So I tried to switch on the led light. It was bright all right… o.0!

Ah!!! The intense brightness!!! X.x

Now… Off to the head. Yes, the head is small. Much small than the body in fact. Trying to stick the stickers are a pain. I had to use toothpicks. Anyway, here it is…

The head.

So now… I put the body and the head together! Looking good so far. I’ll do the arms next when I can find time. Perhaps next week when I’m having my off days from work. =)

Head + Body!

Alright. That’s all for now. Part 2 to be up after I done the 2 arms and perhaps the waist.

I stopped after doing the body and the head and now it’s time to do the arms. Check out Part 1 if you haven’t done so to see how the body and head is like. For those who have done so, do read on and check out the arms and completion of the upper body. [...]
