How To Record Your Voice With A Music Track?

Since a karaoke contest is being held, I thought that I should do a short guide on how to record it. I also did my own short version and uploaded it here.

Ok~ You’ll need to have Audacity, an audio file that you want to record over, and a microphone. A headphone would be good since we wouldn’t want feedbacks if you don’t have a mic to go with it.

Audacity is a free!!! You can get it here.

Open up Audacity. Audacity should look something like this when you open it. Open up the track that you want to record with and proceed to the next step.

Press “Ctrl+P” or Click on “Edit->Preference” and make sure “Play other tracks while recording new one” is Checked.

Now with this, you can play the track you want to sing and record along with it at the same time!

After you’re done, export the song into MP3!
