I headed down to Takashimaya today to attend the 1st day of Cosfest. Of course like always, I meet people like TJ Han, DarkMirage and other people from the Singapore Anime Community (Sadly… Tsubaki is out of the scene since he’s still stuck in G.E land).

Like always, we’ll see Mr.DarkMirage lurking around the scene.

The event for the day wasn’t terrific. In fact, I didn’t manage to take alot of pictures due to the crowd (it was somewhat like a mixture with a family day) and so I figured I’ll take pictures at where the REAL STUFF are at Downtown East next week. So to speak… The event was quite terrible, I spent most of my time chatting with the other people and doing some catching up rather than being amazed by the event. Oh yeah~ There was even a sercurity checkpoints at the entrances. >.> (Well~ At least there wasn’t like… *cough*arresting of people watching illegally downloaded animes*cough*

The stage performance were alright. But like always, we also get to see traps (Shock to say, I saw not one, but two!!!) but there were alot of fresh cosplayers too. I enjoyed the karaoke perfomance they had, however the good singers weren’t present (and we’ll get to hear her next week!) together with the performances by the cosplayers.

Let’s say I’m glad because I’m seeing cosplays of other series (which I sadly didn’t really take pictures of) and not just plain Narutards and such.

Oh yeah~ What really got me hyped was actually the doujin booth. And let’s say… I spent alot today because I met someone whom I really love for his graphic works and got to purchase his artbook.

So like who’s this person I speak of??? It’s no other that toounit!!! Seriously, I love his work!!! So we managed to exchange contacts, talk for abit and took pictures. I’m do hope we can keep in contact in future, be good friends (ok that sounded gay… but ah well~) and help each other out!!! I’m probably going to visit him next week to ask him about some stuff and buy more of his art. =3 Just to tell you all, what I love about his work is he uses the old traditional style of colouring with Copic Markers!

And I managed to buy his artbook which is FAP-TASTIC!!!
