I AM BACK FROM THE ABYSS OF LAZINESS! Today I come forward to introduce you fellow readers a terrific manga series which is going to be released as Anime this coming season. You have to check out the PVs after the jump!

シャイナ・ダルク ～黒き月の王と蒼碧の月の姫君～ (Shina Dark: King of Dark Moon and Blue Moon’s Princess), an anime due to air in Spring (delayed?) is one of my most anticipated anime for the next season (?). Although the date of airing is currently unconfirmed, WHAT BETTER WAY IS THERE TO ENTICE PEOPLE BUT WITH A GREAT PREVIEW OF THE ANIME?!?!?!

Originally, the manga art is done by Yukari Higa while the story written by Bunjuro Nakayama. Originally, the manga started serialized in MediaWorks’ manga magazine Dengeki Teioh on January 26, 2006, and ran in that magazine until November 2006 when it went on hiatus until starting up again in MediaWorks’ shounen manga magazine Dengeki Daioh in April 2007. Currently 3 volumes are available raw in the native Japanese language.

The series revolves around the legendary demon lord Exoda Zero Crown whom has been revived when an eclipse forms the Exoda Ring and the demonic island, Shina Dark, rises once again. Kingdoms and villages from around the world send over a thousand sacrificial maidens to the island in an attempt to satisfy the demon lord’s legendary lust and protect their lands from the unspeakable destruction he will bring. However, the legends are false, Exoda does not possess such lust, and is not interested in destroying the world. He’s quite happy to live in peace and go fishing on the weekends. More than one thousand girls on his island are now unable to return to their homelands, as by coming to Shina Dark, they are seen to be tainted brides of Exoda by others. As a result, Exoda decided to create a nation to give the abandoned girls a new life in a new country, Shina Dark.

I shall begin my Fanboyism for this series as it

1) has VERY nice art.
2) has VERY cute lolis.
3) has VERY enticing bishoujos!
4) has VERY nice proportioned MILFS
5) has VERY nice BG and monsters and lastly,
6) has VERY UGLY LOOKING PEOPLE AS WELL!!!

In short, I adore the artist. Being able to be so well-rounded is no mean feat and he pulled it off magnificently.

The story is nothing special but the twists further on in the story was quite interesting. Overall this series is terrific in character design and has nice development with a great environmental setting and a male character that i actually don’t hate. XD

Anyways on to the real stuff. MediaWorks released a LE extra with the 3rd vol of Shina Dark on March 21st and it contained this 1337 preview videos of the animated version. The animation companies involved in the project is GENCO and SHAFT and headed by the legendary Shinbo Akiyuki (Negima!?, Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha, Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei, ef – a tale of memories).

The cast is Daisuke Ono (Air’s Sora, SHnY’s Itsuki Koizumi) playing Exoda Zero Crown,

Haruka Tomatsu voicing Princess Garlet (Moetan’s Sumi Kuroi)

Kaori Nazuka voice acting as Princess Christina (Blood+’s Mei Ogawa, Code Geass’s Nunnally)

Part 1 – 1337 Modo

Excellent Animation. This song has a nice feel to it. Not too fast not too slow. Animation is very nice as well.

Part 2 – Manga Modo

Excellent stuff. Part 2 looks like the manga art the most(well, close) XD. The song is nice and interesting with a nice catchy chorus. Song is sang by the 2 main female leads? Fanservice FTW as well! Watashi no daito~ Anata no day wo~!

Part 3 – Chibi Modo

CHIBI!!! Cute song as well. Quite a funny way to despict the everyday life and adventures of the characters in the show. All the rest of the seiyuus are singing in the song as well. Funny stuff. Especially Mapul XD.

Part 4 – Kire Modo

Song Name: Whereabouts

The most pretty sequence of them all with a very water coloury painting style. Song is excellent. A little emo, just the way I like it. Many stills, so I can’t say it’s “animated” well but the art department is very well done…

ESPECIALLY THE LAST SECOND! LOLI KAWAII!

Anyways, for those interested, I’ll probably be doing episodal reviews of this show as well since the manga already enticed me for so long.
