Alright, the part about KEY doing a Higurashi style game was random, but what they annouced on April Fools day sure wasn’t! After reading the KEY’s Staff Blog, it seems like they are serious about doing their 7th Game, Rewrite. I’m totally going crazy now because these two companies, which happens to be my favourite company are actually going to do something together!

Seems like the scenario writers group is just awesome! And they are going to comprise of the following: -

Initially I thought it was some kind of joke since I couldn’t really believe what I was seeing. Their 7th game with someone from 7th expansion? Coincidence? Speaking of which, 7th expansion updated their site with a image of Misuzu. And there we have it, 7th expansion’s Ryuukishi07, getting involved with Key’s next work. Seems like 7th expansion might be main scenario writers. Thanks to umehiko for pointing out, the tagline, which means, “Can she rewrite it? Her destiny”, kinds of resembles Furude Rika from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, don’t you think so?

I just hope the artwork won’t kill me since Itaru Hinoue is going to be the art director and character designer. Na-Ga is working on the CGs with his great backgrounds again (I will miss his character designs in Little Busters!). I’m so looking forward to this!
