It’s been quite awhile since I posted so I thought I’ll write something to let my fellow readers know that I’m still active somewhat. Been quite busy these days once again now that I’ve a lot of things to do and keep up with. Anyway above is my current desktop. Here’s the wallpaper for those interested.
After finishing my part time work from last month, I decided to take full time Japanese course at Ikoma to finish up my intermediate level just before I enter NS. Of course after which I’ll have to decide if I can continue on to the next level. My aim is to actually pass the JLPT2 examinations but I’ll have to see my progress from here. If situation don’t allow me to do so, I’ll just have to settle down to take JLPT3 then. That aside, I’ve been working on a freelance project again, doing some design work and on top of that CDS is getting real busy these days because of the upcoming Cosfest which will be in July.

NS is around the corner for me and I doubt that I can really clear my NAPFA so that I can enter in 1 month later and get released 1 month earlier. Frankly speaking, I rather go in earlier too so as to keep myself occupied and also to build up my fitness so that I won’t suffer. Don’t really see the point of barely passing NAPFA and end up entering NS and suffering as they will assume that you’re very fit. And some might have noticed already, I’m entering on the 13th June, Friday. Talk about superstitions.
I haven’t been posting my purchases for quite awhile too. I’ll probably lump all of them and take a picture to show you guys or something. Last recent buy was the Evangelion 1.01 Limited Edition DVD and Figma Saber. Gonna get myself the Kara no Kyoukai Vol 1 DVD next alongside with Makoto Shinkai’s artbook featuring all his past works.
Oh yeah~ I’m also planning to revamp the design of the site. Managed to get some help but now I just have to get my ass down to designing the site first. It would be nice if you all can drop a comment on what kind of fresh look you would like to see in the near future. I’ll greatly appreciate that.

Sorry bj0rn, but you will definitely regret if you don’t pass your NAPFA. Its a confirm thing. If you pass and go in late they will not assume you are very fit either, but the training will be tougher.
However next time when you pass out of your vocational training and into the working phase of your NS where virtually nobody exercises, and you start seeing people ORD b4 u, you will freaking regret.
So err if you can pass your NAPFA juz freaking pass it. I passed my NAPFA and cleared my first IPPT window, but FAILED my 2nd window. And I still ORD earlier than all these people who fail NAPFA and get silver or gold for their second IPPT window. And they all REALLY hate me for it, got some hell from them.

If you work outside without the regimentation you’ll get 3 or 4 times the pay, without cpf contribution. That alone bothers me like hell, being a high-spending Otaku and all.
Clerk or storeman or whatever, being regimented sucks like hell.
Oh and I was a Military Policeman btw.

I don’t know about passing NAPFA and the people in NS thinking you’re fit. I heard that if you were bad at a certain activity they’d force you to take part in it more. D:

Well~ To be frank, I’m fine either way. Beats lazing around and doing nothing. And in any case if you all didn’t know, my dad is actually in the army too. So hopefully he can give me some good advice along the way.

@SnooSnoo: Errr, honestly the only reason to pass NAPFA is to siam the additional 1 year.
It doesn’t matter how physically fit you are, as physical fitness isn’t the same as combat fitness. An olympic runner may beat all the soldiers at running, but just an average soldier will be able to dash from cover to cover faster than an olympic runner when both are in full combat load.
Also, you will be segmented into different groups according to your perceived fitness. It doesn’t really matter that much unless you die die want to be a commander, in which case you have to be able to take a certain amount of physical punishment to avoid looking stupid to your peers. And even if you do want to be a commander, playing politics and backstabbing platoon mates is important as well. You can be freaking fit but if your EQ is naught, it doesn’t make a difference.
In a nutshell: If you don’t pass NAPFA you will definitely regret. And NAPFA is almost completely useless accept for avoiding the additional 1 month of shit, which doesn’t involve fitness actually. 1 month is a long time, don’t underestimate it.
