Yes. I’m quite shocked to actually see this. Apparantly, this person, who claims to be Julia, which I do this is her, posted some interesting comments that caught my attention.

Spending The Last Day Of 2006: KKnM & UA Sales, Cosafe New Year Party & Introduction Of The Nerd Army

Filed under: Anime, Cosplay, Events, Purchases, Random — bj0rN @ 14:06

Alright. After sleeping like a Nayuki, I finally woke up feeling the mood of “Uguu!!! It’s the New Year!!! Uguu!!!”. Firstly, Happy New Year to everyone one of you out there! So yesterday, I spent New Year’s Eve like as if it was the last day of our lives. So here’s briefly what I did.

So I woke up in the morning and went to the UA sales while I ditched my job for a few hours. I got work at 1400hr but I ended up going there at 1600hr (I told them I had “urgent business”). Reached UA and saw a long queue outside. I didn’t bother to queue up since I didn’t have anything to get. Instead, I saw TJ Han leaving and decided to help him hand out flyers.

I then headed down to KKnM with them having a 50% sales and I bought myself a Rin Tohsaka plushie and a Rena plush keychain. Didn’t expect to buy Rena but since the owner was trying to psycho me into buying, I gave in. _| ̄|○

After that we went back and happen to meet TJ Han, Tsubaki, Umehiko, DrmChrs0, JoKEraI and some other people (such as Tsubaki’s new stalking target whom I believe is emokid or something). I was with Windbell, Eugenics and Juice then. We left as they headed to KKnM themselves while I had lunch with the other guys. It was soon time for work and I left for work so I passed Rin and Rena to Windbell. T_T I also passed him my external HDD. I suppose it’s screwed since the power surge isn’t working. Damn! It’s working well in a normal CPU but not with the casing.

Later at night around 22.00hr, I found myself stucking in the MRT station with packs of people squeezing through. Somehow, with a dead battery in my handphone, I was spotted by Windbell and dragged away from the place. We headed to the Cosafe and met up wth TJ Han since we made arrangments to meet up. Got to know his Nerd Army who also happened to sing Colors by FLOW. Seems like TJ Han also had a good time himself there and perhaps before that too. DM was there too and he was a criminal on that day (*cough* Underage drinking *cough*). Also saw LianLY (who happened to be a zombie due to lack of sleep for the past 48 hours) and others whom I don’t know what their online nicknames are (Ok~ Perhaps one of them, who is called Mitsuki Ayase).

We sat down, chilled out and had a couple of drinks. It was real nice talking to them and getting to see their true colors lf in real life. Seems like the Nerd Army are gonna sing another song too in which I’m joining in (if they remember) and I hope it’ll be fun. Now, let’s have the picture do some talking.

Mitsuki Ayase and LianLY. My first picture at the scene and we ended up together trying to get home since we stayed near to each other.

I’m not kidding. TJ Han actually got drunk after gulping down that entire jug of beer.

And they ended up doing weird stuff.

I got “sprayed” by one of the maids. =X

But I’m not the only victim. =D

Somehow, the booze was unharmed.

We took a final picture before we left. Presenting to you the Nerd Army the right and Windbell, Eugenics and DM on the left. =D

Alright… So we had a countdown and played with the maids at the cafe till the wee hours of the morning and we decided to leave. This is where I got really pissed at. You see tons of taxis putting up the “On Call” sign as they circle around, hoping that someone would call them and so that they can charge you more. After walking 2 hours from Cosafe to Liang Court and back, I couldn’t get a taxi and ended up back in Cosafe, getting another drink and chatted with each other and the maids. LianLY and Mitsuki Ayase was with me but LianLY was kind of dead since he’s sleeping. We ended up taking a night bus and we went our seperate ways later. I was dropped about 1-2km away from home but since there was a foreigner who happened to be with me, I asked her if she wanted to share a cab home since she stayed my area and she was quite lost. Started to chat with her and got to know one more new friend. =)

I’m glad I spent the New Year this year with the guys. It was fun and we’re better off than Tsubaki, who was fapping to a dual monitor back at home. =X

Interview: Yoshimi, Owner Of Cosafe

I went down to Cosafe with Windbell and Loki not long after I arrived into Singapore. It was a really good opportunity to meet the owner herself and to actually have an interview with her. We had a nice chat and she’s really a nice person. So here’s first hand information from the owner herself. And thanks to Loki for taking down the notes.

STAC Resolution @ Expo 2006 Impressions

Filed under: Anime, Blog, Cosplay, Events — bj0rN @ 0:34

Alright, EOY ended sucessfully with a bang! It was a really good event. Of course there are always the good stuffs and the bad stuffs. Headed over to the place around 1530hr and enter… FOR FREE!!! Met up with Tsubaki, TJ Han, DarkMirage, Umehiko (who cosplayed a very cute Yuki Nagato which so happens to be the one and only…), DrmChsr0 (he was selling doujinshis, which I never really took a good look at…) and others. And apparantly they got pissed with the fact that I went in for free. It went something like this.

*enters the exhibition hall*
Me: Hey! Tsubaki!
Tsubaki: Oh! You’re here.
Me: Yeah~ So like where do we pay the money to actually go into the place to see the cosplay?
*silence*
Tsubaki: WTF?! YOU MEAN YOU JUST WALKED IN HERE?
Me: Well~ Yeah? Didn’t see anyone collecting cash on the way in either/
*Everyone went _| ̄|○*
Tsubaki: !@#$ %^& *()

Yes! Singapore’s first maid cafe is officially open! Situated at CHIJMES, I headed over today with Windbell just wanting to check things out. We took a couple of pictures too. You can check out their website at http://www.cosafe.com.sg/ for more information. I’ll just provide the address of the place below. The picture above is the cafe’s store-sign. I must admit it’s real nice and I wanted to vector it to post it up here but I’m busy with preparations for Common Test tomorrow. =\

Yep! I’ve mentioned this in the AnimeNano IRC channel before and this post is just to create some awareness about this event. Yes, I’ll be going and like TJ Han and Tsubaki, I’ve also tried to apply for a media pass. If it’s successful, I’ll be doing a coverage on the even there and also some interviews with some of the cosplayers that I know.
